All Media Productions recently directed the fourth annual NOAH
shelter telethon of Cape Cod. The 4-hour show was broadcast live to
100,000 homes from Bourne to Provincetown. The telethon raised more
than $42,500 for the Capes only homeless shelter, which was a 20%
increase in donations from last year. Owner Steve Baty, was also selected to direct the Dr. Martin Luther King Day celebration at Cape Cod
Community College. The event is a co-operative production of several
churches throughout eastern Massachusetts.
Brides only have one chance to select a vendor for their wedding day. Isn’t
it nice to know that business, religious, and civic organizations use vendor’s
services, over and over
again? For more information on how to get in touch

Filene’s Basement is holding their annual “Running of the
Brides” Sale on Feb. 22! Brides-to-be: Get Ready to Run!
It’s shopping as a full-contact sport, and the women who
take part in the “Running of the Brides” at Filene’s
Basement in Boston wouldn’t have it any other way. The
famous bargain stampede takes place Friday, February 22 at
the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. Over 3,000
designer and brand name wedding gowns will be priced
from $249 to $699—gowns that might otherwise cost
between $900 to $10,000. When the doors open, there is
a mad dash to the racks which are typically stripped bare in
under a minute. Then the women strip down to leotards and sports bras to try on the
gowns right on the sales floor. If it doesn’t quite fit, a seamstress can do the trick, and
the bride can still come out way ahead. But what happens if a petite bride pounced
on a size 14 dress in pink chiffon instead of a size 4 in white satin? That’s when the
real fun begins, as the women start bartering to find the right designer or size. It’s a
ritual that turns Filene’s Basement into an old-fashioned bazaar.
